PENELOPE + MIKE

Isn’t everyone’s dream to marry their best friend? Well for Penelope and Mike, they did just that!

Having been best friends since they were 15, 4 years ago while both living in London, Penelope & Mike decided to take a chance and see if there was anything ‘more’ to their friendship. Quickly realising they were both madly in love, their ‘leap of faith’ turned out to be the best decision of their lives - the reaction of family and friends was, ‘about blood time!’.

When planning their wedding they quickly decided on ‘The Bach’, Mikey’s lakeside farm just South of Rotorua, and long time holiday spot for the both of them. There was so many memories not only for the best friends, but for their family and friends too.

Penelope & Mike wanted their day to be relaxing and fun but most of all about love! Not just the love between each other, but their love for those both past and present, Mike wore brown leather shoes which were originally Penelope’s late dad's, who was very much still part of their day.

Penelope & Mike’s wedding had it all, from a caravan bar and whisky station, tipi tents and DIY wedding decor, to jetting off on a boat, and having a four legged bridesmaid, these two truly had an epic day!
